Join us for the East Bay's only Chicago-style Long Form improv theater!   

Improv players create characters and scenes in real-time. No script, no set! Just a little inspiration from you, the audience. 

Improv dialog starts with listening well, and building on what others have to say  -- vital skills for intentional community living as well as comedy.  Yes, and, it's a lot of fun! 

Magic Jester Theater shows usually every 2nd Saturday night, 8pm, at the Temescal Arts Center, 48th & Telegraph in Oakland.  Catch three funny, shrewd, and riveting performances by our house troupes.

We can't promise any cohousing material in the acts, but if you come you can suggest dialog or suggestions of scenes you want to see. Where it goes from there, nobody knows.

Every show features our three improv troupes.  We start with our patented improv Slam (you be the judge), followed by sets with Party in the Kitchen and Urge to Rumble.  After intermission,  Flash Fiction with Slaminatrix Lisa Martinovich, opens for Masters of Oblivion, featuring MJ directors.
