Intentional Community workshop at Sebastopol Village Building Convergence

Join us for an informative, resource and wisdom filled afternoon and evening on the how-tos of community living. People interested in community living skills, where to live and how to make it happen should consider this a prime opportunity to access this knowledge.

The afternoon will begin at 3 pm with a land tour of a well-functioning intentional community in West Sebastopol. Next, in the community room, you’ll get an overview of this community and then a presentation by the premier community real estate company in West County. You’ll learn about what living intentionally looks and feels like and how you find the people you want to live closely with. Topics such as; communal values, building trust, member’s application, council, food, children, co-parenting and the importance of multi-generational ages are some of the topics to be covered. Q&A period will follow and then a speaker from the North Bay Community Group will speak. Dinner to follow. This is a BYO meal/sack dinner! The community will provide drinks and dessert. There will be specific small group discussions during the meal.

We’ll finish the evening with a lively group panel on the joys and challenges of community living followed by a Q&A period.

Please remember:

What is the VBC?
The 2nd annual Village Building Convergence in Sebastopol is 10 days of daytime events around the concept of Placemaking - projects that build shared public spaces and/or eco-oriented projects. Every evening from 4-7pm is the "Open Village", a platform for members of the community to share their offerings and service, along with scheduled programming. And every night has events that bring the community together to learn, inspire, connect and celebrate.
