Fair Oaks EcoHousing is sponsoring a free workshop, "Downsizing Your Home" to be held Saturday, April 2, from 1 to 5 pm at the Carmichael Library.

Gwynnae Byrd, professional organizer and Senior Move Specialist, will present the four-hour workshop which will cover the following topics:

◦Managing your information -- paper and electronic 
◦Learn where to start and how to proceed with purging and sorting 
◦"repurposing" your possessions (instead of sending them to the landfill) 
◦Downsizing for a move 
◦A Moving Checklist -- your guide for getting through the move process 
◦Addressing individual downsizing challenges (such as souvenirs, collections, artwork, heirlooms)

The Carmichael Library is located at 5605 Marconi Avenue with plenty of parking.
