Have you ever wanted to learn how to convert a shipping container into a tiny home, office or studio, come learn the nuts and bolts at this two day workshop at PLACE for Sustainable Living in Oakland, California, co-sponsored by East Bay Cohousing (EBCOHO). Learn the building blocks that you could use to create a Tiny Home Ecovillage.
Shipping containers are affordable and portable. You will get to tour a converted shipping container and get hands on experience building one out from the ground up. From designing and planning, to windows and doors you will learn from experienced builders, all levels of experience are welcome. Emphasis on non-toxic and eco friendly materials. Topics covered will range from soundproofing, ventilation and insulation to compost toilets and solar systems.
Designs covered include on grid and off grid applications. Mingle with other people interested in creative living.
