Coyote Crossing

Coyote Crossing in Santa Cruz

We are a low-turnover thriving community, together for a quarter century.

Coyote Crossing is a cohousing community built on 5 acres on the westside of Santa Cruz, California.  We celebrated our 25th year in 2023, and many of the original occupants remain.

We are 16 individuals and families living in 10 houses and 6 duplex units. Some of the houses also have small attached rental units most suitable for a single person.

We have a common house where we share meals weekly as well as community activities. Currently we have 36 people living here, but the numbers go up and down somewhat. Our larger community also includes a number of people who do not currently live on site, but participate in meals, community projects and other activities.

Our community has been exceptionally stable, as only four units changed hands in the first 25 years we have lived here, so we are only rarely able to welcome new members.

We do not currently have any overnight facilities for guests or formal tours, but are happy to answer inquiries by email.
