(not specifically cohousing related but we plan to attend and support as part of our fellowship with revolving loan funds to build community --Raines, East bay Cohousing)
Cooperation Richmond, a non-for-profit cooperative incubator and loan fund service in Richmond, CA, is having its launch event on the 25th of October, 2017 from 5pm - 8pm at the Rich City Rides Bike and Skate Shop.
Richmond's historic downtown was originally filled with businesses such as Macy's, local movie theaters, bowling alleys etc. where folks could go out to shop and enjoy time with their families. For many years however, the downtown area has suffered from the lack of economic investment and very little support for local entrepreneurial ventures.
Cooperation Richmond wants to help revitalize the downtown from the grassroots up. We want to help move the money to the people that do not have the capital or the resources. Our services, assessments, coaching, non-extractive loans will provide the economic restoration that Richmond needs.
We would like to invite you to come and join us at our launch event to learn more about our mission, values, services and why we have chosen the city of Richmond.
